This little girl is going to grow up with lots of love! She is the fourth baby with two adorable sisters and the sweetest brother. I loved capturing this home lifestyle newborn session and am still obsessing over that window light.

I love when my maternity photography sessions are located somewhere personal, like your new home, your backyard, or in this case... their family farm. It's so special to incorporate meaning (and animals!) into the backgrounds and settings.

Sometimes I get so caught up in obsessing over whether hospital rooms will have optimal window light, that I forget how newborns look perfect no matter where they are. They could be sleeping in the darkest room, yet somehow they still glow with light. Those first 48 hours are my favorite. I guess that's why hospital newborn photography sessions get the nickname, "Fresh 48." Because it's a time that is so new and raw and beautiful. At the end of this session, I just kept clicking my shutter and I'm pretty sure this couple was staring at me thinking, "She's still taking pictures?! She already got that angle.. multiple times." But I tend to get lost in the moment. I just want to capture every detail and soak it all up. I love hospital newborn sessions. Probably a little too much.

After you make a baby, that baby becomes your everything and the only photos you have are of your baby... (which is completely normal and wonderful!) But sometimes, you just need some fun, romantic anniversary photos of you and the love of your life. Especially when you're all dressed up and the cutest couple ever.

Aubrey | Maternity

I'll be honest. Aubrey is probably the most beautiful pregnant woman I've ever seen. If I didn't love her so much, I might hate her! Ok not really... but seriously. Who looks like this at 38-weeks pregnant?! She was so energetic and willing to walk all over for my crazy ideas. Not to mention having to re-schedule a million times from the obnoxious Ohio rainy/windy weather. But we had a beautiful evening at the Franklin Park Conservatory and I am now obsessed with doing photoshoots in their outdoor gardens. Who else needs maternity photos in Columbus, Ohio? :)

Have you ever had a vision of something you wanted to create and then you surprise yourself and it turns out even better than you imagined?! That was this session. The colors. The light. The crazy cute sibling love. All of it was perfect. I love this sweet family. And I love being a lifestyle newborn photographer.

NOLAN | HOSPITAL NEWBORN

NOLAN | HOSPITAL NEWBORN

You never know how a toddler is going to react to a new member of the family... but this hospital newborn session literally melted my heart. The entire time, big brother was constantly wanting to hold, kiss, snuggle, nuzzle and love on his new baby brother. I've photographed a lot of families and newborns, but I've never seen a love like that before. Something tells me these two brothers are going be the best of friends.

Mona | CHILD

Mona | CHILD

Like most two-year-olds, Mona wanted to explore! Even though the natural thing was to try and get her to pose, look at the camera, "say cheese," giggle, do cute things, etc... I was reminded that the best thing to do with a toddler, is to just let her be. Follow her. Explore with her. She doesn't need prompting to be cute. She already is :)
